Onyx is finished with a black soft touch material that contrasts with the transparent acrylic of its reservoir. With a simple one-touch button, the Peugeot Onyx Electric mill grinds fresh pepper using a built-in bottom light so you fully see the perfect amount of pepper being ground. The 2-stage grinding mechanism is made of case-hardened steel which is specially treated to keep the teeth razor sharp and protect from corrosion that releases maximum flavor and aroma by first cracking each peppercorn before it is ground. The classic grind adjustment has a small thumbwheel under the grinding mechanism: turn the wheel on tighter (clockwise) for finer grinds or looser (counter-clockwise)for coarser grinds. The salt crushing mechanism is made of high quality specially treated stainless steel that resists corrosion from dry salts and minimizes wear.
